A couple of days ago I suddenly had sore throat. I measured the temperature under the tounge and it was (102°F). I have a little difficult in swallowing too.

3 days laterEdit

I've had difficulty swallowing as long as the sore throat. I'm not sure whether my tonsils are enlarged or not, perhaps a little. I do see yellow or white patches in the throat. The temperature has risen to 104°F. Otherwise it's basically as last time.

Possible causesEdit

The fever, difficulty swallowing and yellow or white patches in the throat makes a bacterial infection plausible, if so most likely a strep throat. It may, however, also be a viral infection.

Antibiotics may cure the infection, more specifically antibiotics against Streptococcus pyogenes like penicillin. Further info: Wikipedia

In addition, there should be plenty of rest, drinking a lot of liquids, avoiding using alcohol and tobacco and, if necessary, take medications such as paracetamol to relieve the fever.
